Circular Economy Workshop

On March 5, 2024, the Town of The Blue Mountains will be hosting a Circular Economy Workshop in Council Chambers from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. To register for this event, please go to: https://www.thebluemountains.ca/town-hall/public-engagement/participate-meeting/meeting-registration

If you operate a business or other waste-producing organization in The Blue Mountains, we especially hope to hear from you to as this project aims to identify opportunities to reduce and divert waste, collaborate on waste management solutions, and support economic and environmental sustainability.

Celebrate International Women's Day!

The Town of The Blue Mountains is once again excited to partner with The Blue Moutains Chamber of Commerce for an International Women's Day Event. Join us at the Blue Mountain Village Conference Centre on Monday, March 4,  from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for an inspiring evening exploring ways we can work together to champion the voices of women, and of other traditionally under-represented groups.

The evening will highlight inclusion and diversity with thought-provoking speakers, an in-depth panel discussion including local business and community leaders, breakout sessions and networking opportunities. The evening will also include a Night Market, featuring local vendors and community groups.

CANVA FOR SMALL BUSINESS WORKSHOP:

Canva is a free design tool that is being continually upgraded with new easy-to-use features. Save time and money as you learn how to use what this amazing design app has to offer. In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of using Canva to create designs that represent your brand and communicate your message effectively. Beginners are welcome.

Facilitated by Emily Baillie. Emily is a digital marketing & AI consultant, trainer, speaker and professor. With over 15 years of experience in the marketing industry, she has worked with large and small brands across various sectors.

This event is presented by the Town of The Blue Mountains and the South Georgian Bay Small Business Enterprise Centre.

TIAO TOURISM WORKFORCE & SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM:
TIAO’s Tourism Workforce Sustainability Program aims to expand and diversify Ontario’s tourism workforce while helping employers retain employees for the long-term sustainability of their businesses and the industry.
