Job Placements: WorkBC Vancouver Midtown successfully facilitated job placements for clients across various industries and job levels. This includes helping individuals with resume writing, interview skills, job search stra tegies, and connecting them with employers.

Training and Development: We provided various training opportunities designed to help job seekers develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the job market and find sustainable employment.

Employer Partnerships: We established and maintained partnerships with employers in the local community, creating a bridge between job seekers and employers. This includes organizing job fairs, employer networking events, and fostering mutually beneficial relationships with employers to promote employment opportunities for our clients together along processing Wage Subsidy applications.

Client Success Stories: We have received numerous success stories from our clients who found employment with the help of our services. The success stories of these clients empower and motivate other clients to achieve their employment goals as well.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Essential Computer Skills for the Workplace (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Upon completing this training, participants will learn Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.This five-day online course is offered by DIVERSEcity’s Skills Training Centre. Learn general office administration and computer skills for the workplace using advanced computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Eligibility: Please check with your case manager/ employment counselor.

Green Energy Installer Program PBLMT

This is a full-time program consisting of eleven weeks of essential, employability and occupational skills training, four weeks of on-the-job work experience with local employers, and one week of follow-up support to prepare participants for employment as residential and commercial installers and servicers in the Lower Mainland area.

Graphic Design Diploma Program PBLMT

The objective of this program is to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge about software programs that every professional designer needs to know: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Students learn techniques for creating digital images, illustrations, and layouts, and they develop a strong theoretical foundation in color, typography, and composition.

Food Service Assistant training for persons with Disabilities

Food Service Assistant Certificate Project for Persons with Disabilities provides 23 weeks of training in theory and practical food services delivered by experienced and qualified instructors. This program includes 16 weeks of food service occupational-specific skills training through on-the-job work experience. Eligibility: Please check with your case manager/ employment counselor.

Baristas Training Program

This program is Youth employment service that supports Vancouver and Surrey's at-risk youth to achieve employment.
