Mayor's Message

On behalf of King Township Council, welcome to the April edition of the King Bulletin.
Now that most of the pandemic health-related directives have been lifted in Ontario, it’s a great time to start planning on getting out to experience what King Township has to offer.
We have launched a variety of drop-in sports programs at the Municipal Centre at 2585 King Road. Programs are available for participants 13 and older for a cash fee of $5 a person. Current programs include pickleball, volleyball and basketball.
For full details, including the weekly schedule, please visit king.ca/DropInPrograms.
For the art lovers out there, Arts Society King is about to hold its 17th annual Studio Tour King, an event that brings artists and art enthusiasts together. Local artists from King City, Nobleton and Schomberg, and guest artists from neighbouring communities, invite you to three of King Township’s beautiful villages.
Studio Tour King is a free community event, open to all visitors. For more information, please visit artssocietyking.ca.
Finally, get outside and celebrate Earth Week by taking part in the King Community Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 22. Do you part and help pick up litter to keep our parks, streets, ditches, and neighbourhoods clean and green. Getting involved is easy! Select a public space you would like to clean up. Invite your friends, family and neighbours to join the clean up. Register your clean up location and receive clean up supplies.
To register go to townshipofking.perfectmind.com and use code 13827. If you have any questions, please contact environmentalstewardship@king.ca or call 905-833-6555.
Please continue to stay safe, volunteer and shop locally as much as you can.
Sincerely,
Mayor Steve Pellegrini
