Aéro Montréal's mission is to mobilize stakeholders in Quebec’s aerospace ecosystem to support its global reach, innovation capacity and growth.

Message from the President

Dear members, dear partners,

A large number of you joined us for the second part of the Global Aerospace Supply Chain Summit. I would like to sincerely thank you.

On October 26, more than 550 participants from all over the world and nearly 35 world-class speakers were present in person at the Palais des congrès de Montréal or virtually on the Swapcard platform to “Shape the future of a more sustainable supply chain.”

The discussions were productive and confirmed our companies’ commitment to rethink the industry in order to adapt it to tomorrow’s world: building a more sustainable, more inclusive, more collaborative future that constantly pushes the boundaries to innovate.

This event was not our last meeting of the year.

To close 2021, I am pleased to invite you to the Four Seasons Hotel, in Montréal, on Friday, December 10, for the Gilles Demers Gala. We will celebrate the boldness and creativity of our Québec aerospace SMEs. This year, 19 companies are competing, a record number of applications that have been carefully evaluated by our jury of industry experts.

For one evening, we will celebrate the winners of this competition and reconnect at this historic and eagerly awaited gala, which will feature 1945 The Band (Paul Chacra).

Registration is open and space is limited, so don't wait any longer to register!

SUZANNE M. BENOÎT, President of Aéro Montréal

Union manager sentenced to nine months in prison for defrauding $225,000 from his employer.

Do you have measures in place in your business to prevent and promptly identify possible fraudulent acts committed by your employees?

The facts in R. c. Aldik, handed down by the Court of Quebec (the judgment) last August, are a reminder of how important it is not to neglect fraud and pay attention to your employees in positions of trust, in particular those in charge of your computer networks.

On November 10, during the COP26 in Glasgow, the sustainable aerospace industry will be on the agenda:

The "International Aviation Climate Ambition Coalition" will be launched at the event. This organization is a new group of states willing to take on the net zero challenge for aviation and they encourage all countries to do the same. The Coalition will be launched with an ambitious and comprehensive statement on aviation emissions.

It will kick off a year of increased collaboration among governments, with the short-term goal of setting an ambitious long-term goal for international aviation emissions at the next International Civil Aviation Organization assembly in September 2022.

The Montreal Aviation Museum

Curtiss-Reid and Cartierville Airport

The Montreal Aviation Museum (MAM) is a “working museum.” In addition to experiencing the more traditional aspects of an aviation museum and art gallery, visitors can also interact with our volunteers who are restoring vintage aircraft and engines and learn about the required techniques and skills. One of our exhibits is a replica of a Curtiss Reid Rambler, which was built at Cartierville Airport.

The museum is located on the Macdonald Campus of McGill University in Sainte Anne de Bellevue. Summer hours are Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 to 14:15. Directions are available on their website: The site also features a virtual tour of the museum.
