Welcome to this week's 'finding purpose in education' edition of Myles Ahead's curated resources for educators.

Last week we explored the idea that school is about more than just gaining knowledge. This week, we expand on that subject with resources to help you teach your students to explore purpose.

Resources:

  1. The first resource is Why Schools Need to Help Students Find Purpose — and How to Do It and it provides the argument for why purpose has a place in education.
  2. In the following article, Students Excel When They Find Purpose—So How Do We Help Them?, the authors connect learning to the real world to help give it meaning.
  3. Expanding upon that theme, ‘When Are We Going to Use This?’ Strategies to Help Students Find Relevance in School Work, suggests connecting school work together, instead of presenting it as disconnected problems.
