New data from the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) found that hospitalizations for patients experiencing homelessness in Canada in 2022-2023 were twice as long as the national average and cost twice as much.

New CIHR funding for CLSA research projects 

33 research teams across Canada have received a combined total of $2.3 million in funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to support analyses of longitudinal data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging.

A new study using ICES data found that people with opioid use disorder were less likely to receive palliative care. The findings highlight the importance of training for health care providers to better support patients with opioid use disorder at the end of their lives.
