Vancouver Midtown: February Newsletter

January was a busy month full of events and opportunities for job seekers across the province. We hope your January was productive and filled with steps toward your career goals! We hosted several informative Info Sessions and were thrilled to co‑host the S.U.C.C.E.S.S.–WorkBC MidTown Job Fair 2026, connecting employers, job seekers, and community partners for meaningful conversations.

As a friendly reminder, if you had the opportunity to speak with recruiters at the job fair or during any other event last month, please take a moment to send a follow-up thank-you message — it’s a great way to leave a positive impression and stay on their radar. And if you’re considering upgrading your skills or pursuing training to enhance your career prospects, don’t forget to reach out to your case manager to explore skills training options available to you.

B.C. Labour Market Snapshot

B.C.’s labour market remains resilient. Despite a small dip of 3,300 jobs in December, the province added 24,100 jobs in 2025. Over the next decade, WorkBC projects hundreds of thousands of job openings, especially in health care, construction, retail, and professional services, offering opportunities across the province.

Stay connected with WorkBC as we share more insights and resources to help you succeed in 2026! 💼✨
