Welcome to an extra special edition of the Myles Ahead educator emails. Today is National Child and Youth Mental Health Day. In honour of this day, we are spreading a sense of hope around our community with #MylesOfHope.

Keep reading below the polaroid to find out how you and your students can get involved!

Our goal is to provide a platform to encourage the practice of community sharing with words of hope. So let's connect with others at a time when we are all feeling a bit disconnected.

You and your students can follow the steps below to create your own messages:

  1. Create a piece of artwork. Any style, any medium – rock art, poster, digital – it's up to your students!
  2. Students can write #MylesOfHope on their artwork or in the social media post. Include a message of hope for an added special touch!
  3. Take a picture of your student's artwork. Share it on social media. Tag @MylesAheadChild on Facebook and Instagram or @MylesAheadACYMH on Twitter and use the hashtags #MylesofHope. A parent (or the students themselves) can complete this step if you are currently teaching distance learning.

You can see the feed of other people's artwork here

Tap into your creative side, brightern someone's day, and send a message with #MylesofHope.
