Welcome Back & Happy New Year 

Happy New Year to the Active Kids Community! We hope you all enjoyed the holiday break. 

 

We are excited to see you all back in our programs! 

Winter 2025 Classes Will Begin On...

All Active Kids programs will begin on Monday, January 13th and will end on Sunday, April 6th for the Winter 2025 term. 

Registeration for the Winter 2025 term is still open. There are a few classes that still have space. Register now before they are all filled!

You can find the Winter 2025 brochure with updated prices and schedule on the main page of our website.

Registration can be done online, over the phone, and in-person.

To best prepare for registration please create an online account here or make sure your account is active and ready to use, prior to registration! Please read our FAQ page to help answer any common questions.

New Registration Office Hours & Contact Info

To better assist your needs, we have restructured our public office hours in our registration office to better align with when we see the most volume of inquiries both in-person and over the phone. The new hours are:

Monday: 12pm-5pm

Tuesday: Closed 

Wednesday: 12pm-5pm

Thursday: 12pm-5pm

Friday: 9am-11am

We also have a new email for all your inquiries and questions: info.activekids@ubc.ca. The previous kin.outreach email will no longer be in use.

Welcome Jayme!

Please welcome our new Gymnastics Coordinator, Jayme!

Jayme is excited to join the AK Team as the new Gymnastics Program Coordinator, bringing with her 15 years of gymnastics coaching experience and a strong background in competing at the national level in Ontario. Jayme has a deep passion for encouraging lifelong physical activity. Holding an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, along with a Master's in Public Health, Jayme blends academic knowledge with a love for gymnastics, believing it to be a key sport for developing body awareness and fundamental movement skills. Committed to inclusivity, Jayme fosters a fun, supportive, and safe environment, always striving to help athletes achieve their goals.

Private Lessons

We are in the process in finalizing our schedule to offer private lessons to you. If interested, please email mallika.basra@ubc.ca to add yourself to our interest list. We will be sending out our availability survey in the upcoming weeks to everyone on our interest list. Once responses are recieved, we will then be offering sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis.
