Attend the Kick-off November 28

Coquitlam’s beloved Lights at Lafarge returns with new displays and a festive launch on Friday, November 28, from 5 – 8 p.m. at Town Centre Park. Enjoy illuminated pathways, a fire performance and on-site food vendors (open 5–9 p.m.) at the kick-off event, with the lights staying on each evening until February 16.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
