Join us tomorrow, July 1, in Town Centre Park for Coquitlam’s biggest event of the year. Enjoy live entertainment, interactive activities, tasty food trucks, cultural displays and more.

Game, Set, Upgrade
New Courts Coming to City Centre

Construction starts this summer on Town Centre Park’s new tennis facility, offering more courts, LED lighting, spectator seating and more. It’ll also include an energy-efficient building with meeting space and a social patio. While the new courts are under construction, the existing courts will stay open. Watch for temporary trail closures during this time.

Curbside Collection Calendars

Coquitlam’s 18-month, 2026/2027 curbside collection calendars are in the mail to single-family residences. The calendars highlight collection days for garbage and green waste, and they provide details on other City waste management programs. These services support our Environmental Sustainability Plan’s goals to minimize waste and maximize reuse, recycling and recovery.

City Nets Award for Innovation

Coquitlam’s approach to managing community buildings has earned national recognition for the second time. The City recently received a 2026 Willis Award for Innovation from the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) for its Facilities Digital Twin Project, which uses virtual copies of real City buildings to track their conditions, histories and more.

Protect our Fish Habitats

Have you seen a yellow fish mark next to storm drains around Coquitlam? These markers remind us that storm drains flow directly to local streams, rivers, and waterways that support fish and wildlife. Volunteer with us to mark storm drains in your neighbourhood to help protect these important habitats and keep our waterways free of unwanted debris and harmful chemicals.

The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
