National Pain Awareness Week 2025

Hi ,

This week is National Pain Awareness Week (NPAW) — a time to recognize chronic pain as one of Canada’s most common yet often misunderstood health conditions. More than eight million Canadians live with chronic pain, affecting families, workplaces, and communities across the country.

Through the Action Plan for Pain in Canada, we can make meaningful changes that improve care, reduce stigma, and enhance quality of life for people living with pain. Research plays a vital role in helping us understand pain, identify effective treatments, and shape evidence-informed policies and programs across the country.

Join us in raising awareness this week. Follow the conversation using #NPAW2025 and tag the Chronic Pain Network to help amplify the voices of people living with pain and those working to change the way pain is managed in Canada.
