Hello ACS Families,

We are writing to make you aware of a recent cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool, the application used by ACS and many schools across North America to store a range of student information.

On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, PowerSchool informed us that they experienced a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to customer data. Today, we have confirmed that limited information belonging to ACS’ students was involved in the incident.

PowerSchool has informed us that it received confirmation that the data accessed by an unauthorized user has been deleted and that no copies of this data were posted online.

Please note that financial information and admissions documents are NOT connected to PowerSchool and were not impacted by this incident. Other systems such as myAccount, Edsby, and Microsoft 365 have NOT been impacted. No downtime is expected.

We are working diligently to learn more from PowerSchool about what happened and exactly what content was accessed. We will share that information with you as soon as it becomes available.
