Quiltcon Roundup

Our March meeting will feature an overview of QuiltCon 2025 (Phoenix, AZ, Feb 20-23). Marnie Burnham with help from other VMQG friends who attended the event, will share QuiltCon highlights, including images of the winning quilts (and personal favourites) and a report on the lectures, workshops and events as well as trends for 2025.

Sew Good Quilts

Thanks to all who have participated in Sew Good Quilts. In December we donated eight quilts to the Unitarian Church of Vancouver and they’ve all been given away. Some went to an Afghan family and others went to a newly-arrived Iranian family. They are all much appreciated.

We have several quilts in the works right now and my goal is to present another batch to the UCV at our June meeting. If you’d like to participate, look for me at the March meeting. I will have fabric bundles with me. If you’d like to go ahead and make a quilt with your own fabric, the finished size should be 60” x 72”

If you have questions you can reach me (Megan) at sewgoodquilts@vancouvermodernquiltguild.ca
