Guided tours

Hosted by experienced students, the guided tours are a great way to get to know Polytechnique in a different way! The tour includes a visit to the Louise-Lalonde-Lamarre Library and a tour of the major buildings on campus.

  • Tuesday, August 23, 1: 30 pm to 3 pm
  • Wednesday, August 24, 1:30 pm to 3 pm
  • Friday, August 26, 10 am to 11:30 am
  • Monday, August 29, 5:30 pm to 7 pm

Departure in front of room M-1010 (1st floor of the Lassonde buildings)

This is a cohesive and gathering event closing the Polytechnique Montreal's integration week.

OPUS

The OPUS card allows you to use public transportation in the city the Société de transport de Montréal (STM). If you are a full-time student (or considered a full-time student), you can pay reduced fares by purchasing a student OPUS card (photo required).

If you meet eligibility criteria, you can apply online from your Dossier Ă©tudiant or directly in the STM photo studio, located at 1755 Berri Street, Montreal. The latter will be processing student requests by appointment only

The request for a locker must be made online and is accessible through the Guichet virtuel Ă©tudiant.

Immigration procedures

⚠️Please note! If you don't have all the required immigration authorizations to study in Canada, don't get on a plane! Why? You could be denied entry to Canada at the border; the Registrar's Office at Polytechnique will not be able to maintain your registration to the fall semester without your required authorizations.

Reminder: The Québec Acceptance Certificate Québec (CAQ) and the study permit are optional for students coming to Quebec for a one-term exchange (less than 6 months).

Administrative check-in

Until September 12, 2022, International Clusters students are required to provide certain documents. Some of you will also have to make arrangements for health and hospitalization insurance.For more details, visit the New student journey.


ACCUEIL PLUS

Learn about travelling around the city and benefit from reduced wait times at the Canadian Border at the Montréal airport with ACCUEIL PLUSRegistration is required.

ACCUEIL PLUS also offers online information sessions, before or after your arrival. These sessions will be offered in French and English and you must register 48 hours prior to their presentation.
