Working Group Member, Critical Care in Residential Care Homes
It can be a challenge to provide critical care in residential care homes in a way that meets the expectations of family and friends while ensuring the most optimal patient experience. That’s why being able to identify what is most meaningful to patients and families is critical to future care planning. The Critical Care Team at Surrey Memorial Hospital is seeking input from those families and friends who have experience with this issue to co-create a research study on improving the patients’ experience in taking care of a chronic illness at residential care homes.

The Fraser Network Alliance recognizes that using these ways provides a unique opportunity to inform and engage the public, increasing their understanding of home support services available to them in Fraser Health. They are seeking patient partners, with experience in home support, to be a part of the development and production of videos that tell their story of using these services to help seniors stay home and healthy for as long as possible.
