Members of the aerospace industry recognize that equity, diversity and inclusion must be at the heart of their development strategies. If our industry’s workforce is to fulfil its potential and achieve great things, we must promote inclusive workplaces. Aéro Montréal is pleased to provide an inspiring testimony designed to raise awareness about this issue, as the aerospace industry still has a fairly homogeneous heritage. This homogeneity creates a norm of reference, a standard that can give the impression that you’re not welcome if you deviate from the typical profile. Although there are over-represented profiles in aerospace, there are also many people from diverse backgrounds working in the industry, and have been for years. In the spirit of embodying diversity, Jamie agreed to share their experiences as a non-binary person working in the industry. + READ THE INTERVIEW | Quick facts about the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec’s guidelines on consent under Bill 25 with Imran Ahmad, Partner, Canadian Head of Technology and Canadian Co-Head of Information Governance, Privacy and Cybersecurity, and Roxanne Caron, Associate, at Norton Rose Fulbright The first phase of the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information, also known as Bill 25, came into effect in Quebec on September 22, 2022.
