Assurance

All international students are automatically registered to the international student health and hospital insurance (ASHEE). Coverage begins as soon as they arrive, no earlier than August 15 for the 2022 fall semester.

Attention: Several students (including most students from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Luxemburg, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Romania) can be exempted from ASHEE and thus benefit from Quebec's Health Insurance Plan (RAMQ).

Français

Exchange students can sign up for one French language course per semester, taught at the Université de Montréal.

In order to do so, Polytechnique students must register through the Inter-University Transfer Authorization application (AEHE) platform (after a placement test). The procedure is described here.

Students admitted to the International Thematic Cluster program have received a detailed email explaining the procedure to register for French as a Second Language classes. For additional information about UdeM’s French as a Second Language program courses, click here.
