The Fraser Highway One-Way Project will improve the area for our businesses, residents, and visitors. It includes replacing aging underground infrastructure and revitalizing the Fraser One-Way with more greenery, new gathering spaces, and better pedestrian amenities.

Completed works

Installation of new storm sewers

New underground storm sewer pipes have been installed to improve drainage servicing.

Quick Fact: Storm sewers collect rainwater and move it away from properties and streets, to help prevent flooding.


 

Ongoing and upcoming works

Installation of street light bases 

New concrete bases are being installed in the boulevard to support upcoming streetlight improvements.

Quick Fact: New streetlight poles will be installed on these bases to enhance lighting levels along the corridor.

Installation of silva cells

To support the healthy growth of new trees, silva cells are being installed underground to improve the water supply to the trees.

Quick Fact: Silva cells help grow healthy trees by holding soil and water and providing space for the roots to grow.


 

Things to know as construction continues

Construction will generally occur during the day, but some work may take place on weekends or at night. Noisy construction activities won’t be allowed at night.

As construction continues, vibrations will occur.

• Limited off-street parking is available between Salt Lane and 206 Street.

Work progress dates are based on anticipated construction schedules and may change as work continues.


 

Businesses are open

Access to businesses along the one-way Fraser Highway will remain open. Customers can enter through the front doors of all establishments

Traffic control signs and personnel will ensure the safe passage of pedestrians and vehicles during construction.

Free parking is available

• Some parking will be available on the One-Way between 206 Street and Salt Lane.

• Langley City Hall: 37 free parking stalls
