This week’s educator resources, Empowered to Feel, Learn, and Lead, support student mental health by building awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting healthy coping strategies. They also offer practical tools for engaging students in meaningful conversations and leadership related to mental well-being across diverse school settings.

Educator Resources:

1. Provided by the Canadian Mental Health Association (Calgary Chapter), KidSMART Mental Health Awareness (ages 8-12) includes information and activities to help students build understanding, reduce stigma, and develop healthy coping strategies to support their mental health and overall well-being.

2. Provided by School Mental Health Ontario, the Student Engagement Toolkit offers practical guidance to meaningfully engage students in mental health promotion and leadership across diverse school settings and initiatives.

3. Provided by AboutKidsHealth, How to Feel Feelings is a video that helps students understand that feelings are natural signals from the body and mind, and teaches healthy ways to recognise, experience, and care for emotions rather than avoid or suppress them.
