SOCIO-POLITICAL ACTION
Mobilization for social and climate justice on September 23

Actions will be taking place throughout Québec on September 23 to demand the following:

• a ban on fossil fuels by 2030, covering production, transformation, exports and imports
• high taxes on wealth and massive reinvestment in our social safety net to provide decent living conditions for all

Although the APTS does not agree with the use of strike action as a tactic in this situation, we encourage our members to participate in the various actions as activists.

After the pandemic: new approaches to help us emerge from the crisis

IRIS is offering a workshop based on its anti-austerity factsheets (in French). The event, lasting three hours, includes both a presentation and exchanges and is designed to give participants a better understanding of current issues related to public finances, economic development, the energy transition, monetary policy and making the economy more democratic.
