Immigration Procedures

⚠️Please note! If you don’t have all the required immigration authorizations to study in Canada, don’t get on a plane! Why? You could be denied entry to Canada at the border; the Registrar’s Office at Polytechnique will not be able to maintain your registration to the fall semester without your required authorizations.

Reminder: The Québec Acceptance Certificate Québec (CAQ) and the study permit are optional for students coming to Québec for a one-term exchange (less than 6 months).

For more information, consult our websites: Authorizations to Study and entry to Canada.

Administrative check-in

Until September 12, 2023, International Clusters students are required to provide certain documents. Some of you will also have to make arrangements for health and hospitalization insurance. For more details, visit the New student journey.

It’s still time to sign up for the free Accueil Plus service, which simplifies your journey to the Canada Border Services Agency office, and gives you a warm welcome at the kiosk.
