Over the years, Charline has assisted countless students and LPNs over her 20- year career – whether it was guiding students through the exam process, assisting LPNs with the registration process, answering thousands of phone calls…or answering thousands of questions from the staff! She was with ANBLPN since the days of mailing out paper registration forms and keeping hundreds of hand written documents….she eased into the computerized world being completely self-taught. She was always willing to give a helping hand and we can still hear her contagious laugh from her corner of the office! Our hearts were heavy as we said good-bye to this amazing colleague and friend…but we wish her nothing but the best in this next step of her life! Enjoy retirement Charline – we will miss you and love you always! | NEW / REVISED: DUTY OF CARE (PRACTICE GUIDELINE) We have recently revised our practice guideline, Duty of Care, and we encourage all LPNs to review this updated guideline. LPNs have a professional and legal obligation to provide clients with safe, competent, ethical, and compassionate care. When you accept employment as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), the duty that is embedded in this obligation extends to all practice contexts, at all times, including during an emergency or disaster. This updated guideline discusses the duty to provide care, the duty to report, patient abandonment and the duty to self-report. You can find this document on our website (www.anblpn.ca - MEMBERS - PRACTICE RESOURCES). Duty of Care Practice Guideline | Immunization Module Our Immunization Module is on-going for those who are interested in adding this competency to their practice. Immunization is an advanced competency for all LPNs, this module will provide LPNs with the additional educational theory required to provide immunizations. Once the theory is obtained, LPNs can then work with their employers to achieve their clinical mentorship. Cost: $50.00 (plus tax) If you would like to register for this module please email: practiceconsultant@npls.ca | | Reminder: Pre-Authorized Debit Option Pre-Authorized Debit payment options for your 2022 license is now available through the ANBLPN system.
