Call for Applications—Sustainability Scholars paid summer internships

The UBC Sustainability Hub is pleased to offer UBC graduate students the opportunity to work on funded sustainability internship projects.

They are accepting applications for over 60 internships that will commence May 1, 2024. Current UBC graduate students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to confirm the eligibility requirements and apply.

Successful candidates work under the guidance of a mentor at one of our partner organizations, and are immersed in real world learning where they can apply their research skills and contribute to advancing sustainability and climate action across the region. Each Scholar receives $27.50 per hour to complete 250 hours of work.

Applications open for 2024 Climate Justice Fellows Program | CEEJH

Center for Community Engagement, Environmental Justice and Health (CEEJH) is excited to open applications for our 2024 Climate Justice Fellows Program, designed specifically for individuals with beginner to intermediate levels of climate and environmental justice knowledge! This comprehensive 23-week program (requiring just 4-7 hours per week) has been carefully curated to provide a strong foundation in the essential principles of Environmental Justice (EJ) and Climate Justice (CJ).Our program is uniquely structured to accommodate a diverse range of candidates from EJ communities. Through this transformative opportunity, participants will not only deepen their understanding of environmental and climate issues but will also develop practical skills to empower their communities.

Invitation to join the Organizing Committee for Water & Environment Student Talks Conference (WEST-Con) 2024

WEST-Con is an interdisciplinary conference organized by students for students working within the fields of water and environment. In the past two years, WEST-Con was held in a virtual/hybrid format to facilitate student participation nationally and internationally. This format has seen over 300 participants from 16 countries, creating a global community among student researchers.

WEST- Con invites students from all faculties to join the multi-disciplinary Organizing Committee for WEST-Con 2024. Subcommittees include: Finance, Communications, Publicity, Logistics, and Content. A brief overview of the roles and responsibilities for each subcommittee can be found in the linked form shared below.
