UBC staff and faculty can now select an option to receive a ‘daily digest’ email once a day with a list of all Workday inbox action items from the last 24 hours, instead of receiving an email each time an inbox item is generated in Workday. See Inbox & Notifications in Workday in the Workday Knowledge Base for instructions on how to manage email notifications.

2. Some less known eligible expenses when on sabbatical: PD Funds can be allocated for housing costs for up to 2 months. The costs to visit colleagues for collaborations regarding your research are eligible as well.

Committees and other units - updates

ZEDI: Zoology Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee

  • Positive Space: Foundations course. Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) aren’t milestones — they’re the fundamental components required to create a welcoming and inclusive workplace at UBC. It is hard work that takes active, intentional, and ongoing learning (and unlearning). Consider taking UBC’s The Positive Space: Foundations course to enhance your awareness.

Positive Space: Foundations course is your resource hub for promoting and practicing inclusivity towards sexual and gender diversity.

Learn about amatonormativity, what to do if you misgender a friend, and how you can engage in respectful interactions related to names, pronouns and inclusive language.
