A short note from your Executive Director March felt like a lot. Between ongoing conversations around amalgamation and closing out the month with Mayor Sandra Easton announcing she will not be seeking re-election, things are moving quickly in our community. I may sound like a broken record—but this is exactly why I continue to say: pay attention to what’s happening locally. When you stay connected, these moments don’t feel like surprises—you’re prepared, informed, and ready to respond. One of the things I’m most excited about right now is our continued partnership with CKTB. They’re hosting another Roundtable Road Trip with us on April 28 at Penny’s Kitchen, giving our members the opportunity to get on-air with Steph Vivier and share their business with listeners across Niagara. Spots start at $300, and they work—Justin from JZ Bookkeeping & Tax Services, one of our Gold Sponsors, made a sale in January from someone who heard him on the radio back in November. If you’ve been thinking about getting your business out there, make sure to claim your spot today! With the Mayor’s announcement yesterday, interest in this year’s State of the Town is already building. Taking place on April 29 at Calamus Estate Winery, this event brings together a three-course meal, wine from the estate, and a beautiful vineyard setting. It’s one of those events that always fills up, and this year will be no exception—so be sure to grab your ticket early. And with spring finally here, even the rain is a reminder that golf season is right around the corner. Our 2026 Chamber Cup is coming up quickly, and while foursomes are nearly sold out, we’re still welcoming day-of golf sponsors—take a look at available options here. Individual tickets include a full round of golf, gourmet lunch, a hot dog on the greens, a drink ticket, post-golf food and snacks, and treats from each on-course activation. This is our third year hosting the tournament, and this year we’re proud to be raising funds in support of our NCF Community Fund and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Niagara. We’re working toward a $5,000 goal, and this is our final push to get there. And finally, something we’ve been quietly waiting to share—Brick & Beam Coffee Co. has officially opened on King Street. We’re so excited to welcome them to the community and even more excited that they’ll be hosting our April Business After 5. This is why the location has been “to be determined” for so long—we were sworn to secrecy, and we’re glad the cat is finally out of the bag. Join us next week as we enjoy wine courtesy of Redstone, delicious bites from fellow Chamber members, and a great evening of connection. If you have a door prize you’d like to contribute, feel free to bring it with you! Q1 is wrapping up, and we are just getting started. Stay connected, stay engaged, and as always, we’re just a phone call away. I’m excited for what’s ahead—for both the Chamber and our community.
