After last year’s successful competition, the CHTP will be holding another image contest this year. The winning image will be featured in our winter newsletter, and a framed print will be mounted on the wall outside the CHTP.
- Images from all CHTP equipment are eligible for submission, including but not limited to light microscopes, electron microscopes, and micro-CT scanners.
- Images submitted to the contest must be acquired by the user; images acquired by CHTP staff do not qualify for the contest.
- Only one image may be submitted per user.
- False colouration of images is permitted.
- Contest images must not have been previously published or be published in the future.
- Images must be submitted in tiff format at the pixel resolution that they were acquired in.
- All entries must be received by October 1, 2024.
The finalists will be selected from the submissions by CHTP staff based on their artistic merit. A poll of our users will decide the winner of the contest. All users can vote in the poll for their favourite image from among the finalists regardless of whether or not they’ve submitted an image to the contest. The image with the most user votes will be crowned the winner. Only votes from CHTP users will count; votes from non-users will not be counted.
