Pay by July 2 to Avoid Penalty

There are two weeks left to pay property taxes without penalty, and there are various convenient ways to pay, including online. Be sure to claim your Home Owner Grant directly through the Province of B.C. Apply before the property tax due date, July 2, to avoid penalty.

$40,000 Grant Improves Accessibility

Entrances to multiple City facilities will soon be easier to navigate, thanks to a $40,000 grant from the Royal Bank of Canada and the Rick Hansen Foundation. Coquitlam is one of only 40 communities across Canada awarded the grant, intended to help reduce physical barriers in our spaces.

No Plastics in Your Green Cart

Garbage never goes in your Green Cart. To keep our composts high-quality, items other than green waste are prohibited. This includes garbage bags and other plastics, even if labeled “compostable”. Use the Waste Wizard tool to search any item and find the right way to dispose of it.
