Last week the UN General assembly recognized the right to a healthy environment for all people! We are indebted to communities including youth, women and indigenous peoples who fought for this right for 30 years.

A special congrats to Dr. David Boyd, who has been advocating for this right since his 2018 appointment as a UN Special Rapporteur!

The course will explore a range of questions related to defining and enacting sustainability, especially in areas where there is widespread uncertainty and disagreement on pathways forward.

The goal of this course is not to provide students with definitive answers to these questions. This course is designed to help students learn concepts, tools, methodologies, and strategies so that they can make positive and meaningful contributions to solutions to problems related to sustainability.
