Renovated Guest Rooms at Fairmont Le Château Montebello

June 25, 2019 marked the beginning of a new chapter in Fairmont Le Château Montebello's story as the resort revealed its 50 newly renovated guest rooms (Champlain wing). Only days from its 89th birthday on July 1st, this turning point marked the end of a first part of renovations for the hotel. It will be followed by the reopening of 52 additional guest rooms (Lacombe wing) later this summer and with the revitalization of its majestic lobby in the fall. The renovations, which had started on September 4, 2018, represent a total investment of over $17.5 M.

At the forefront of the renovation project is the wish to preserve and renovate this icon of the region's heritage and ensure its continuity while adding a contemporary dimension that will enable it to meet the highest expectations. It marks a transition to a contemporary style that remains respectful of the hotel's history and essence. "This design intervention at Fairmont Le Château Montebello is the perfect blend of comfort and tradition, creating an atmosphere that is approachable, comfortable, and refreshingly modern without being minimal," says FRANK Architecture & Interiors.
