Free Community Celebrations

This summer, the City of Coquitlam will host free community soccer viewing experiences during the World Cup, the biggest sporting event in the world (June 11–July 19). Enjoy outdoor watch parties, neighbourhood block celebrations and family-friendly fun across the city.

The Nature of Her by Baran Sabahi

Visit a powerful new exhibit at Town Centre Park Community Centre. Coquitlam artist Baran Sabahi explores the connection between women and nature through bold, expressive paintings celebrating strength, resilience and belonging. The exhibit runs March 2 to September 10, with an artist talk on April 18.

Grant Opportunity
Bring Neighbourhood Projects to Life

Through the Neighbourhood Small Grant, Coquitlam residents can apply for up to $500 to fund neighbourhood projects that bring people together, strengthening community connections and sharing skills. Past project examples include lending libraries, workshops, community events, and more. Apply by April 30.

Use Less, Pay Less
Voluntary Water Metering

Instead of paying a flat rate for your water and sewer, you now have the option to buy a water meter and pay for your actual usage. Under the Voluntary Residential Water Metering Program, the City of Coquitlam will cover 50% of the cost to install the meter.

The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
