Support CYM, now and through the year

"Knitting meetings together has always been part of our tradition, and needs to continue." Throughout this unexpected year, many of you have been involved in working toward organizational changes to Canadian Yearly Meeting. Some of these have been long anticipated, while others (like holding a successful CYM2020 online!) have been borne out of necessity. As we all seek to stay connected, your year-end gift can work towards Canadian Yearly Meeting's spiritual renewal—for both ourselves and the larger society.

Save the date: CYM Meetings for Worship for Business online Jan. 23 and Feb. 6

Recently, Representative Meetings have been held online, open to observers. One more is scheduled for December 5 at 1:30 pm (Eastern standard time). Contact your Monthly Meeting's clerk to get the Zoom link.

Some agenda items have been identified that need to be decisions of CYM-in-session, rather than Representative Meeting, so two CYM online business sessions are planned for January 23rd and February 6th, 2021. Save the dates!

CYM2021 will be online-only

As many of you may already know, due to the many uncertainties of the pandemic and the long lead times required for planning, Representative Meeting approved cancelling our in-person Canadian Yearly Meeting session for August 2021. Program Committee has been asked to plan alternative online events and are looking for additional resources to help pull these together. If you have skills that might be suited to supporting an online gathering, consider reaching out to Program Committee at program-clerk@quaker.ca to learn more about their needs.
