This week’s educator resources, Pathways to Well-Being, provide culturally responsive and developmentally appropriate tools to support student learning, well-being, and mental health. It includes lesson plans, videos, and structured activities that integrate Indigenous knowledge, mental health literacy, and social-emotional learning to create a more inclusive and supportive educational experience.

Educator Resources:

  1. Provided by the National Centre for Collaboration in Indigenous Education, the Teaching Resource Centre offers educators lesson plans, videos, and materials developed from Indigenous perspectives to incorporate Indigenous knowledge into K-12 subjects.

  2. Created by the Surrey School District in partnership with Fraser Health, the Mental Health Animated Videos provide age-appropriate, multilingual resources on mental health topics like stress, relationships, and coping strategies for elementary and secondary students.

  3. Provided by School Mental Health Ontario, Wayfinder: Your Grade-by-Grade Guide to Teach About Mental Health offers educators a sequenced collection of grade-specific mental health lessons and activities.
