Surrey Schools brings First Nations and Families together through Indigenous Honouring Ceremony

For more than two decades, Surrey Schools' Indigenous Honouring Ceremony has celebrated Indigenous Grade 12 students as they complete their final year. This year, 148 students were honoured at the Aria Convention Centre, where the celebration featured food, traditional drumming, and dancing.

Frank Hurt Secondary & SAIL students win gold at Canada-Wide Science Fair

Two Surrey students returned from the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Edmonton with 14 awards and more than $35,000 in scholarships. Sreya Kurup of Frank Hurt Secondary won gold for her staph infection research, while SAIL's Akshath Anand took gold for a wearable device that detects dangerous IV leaks.
