Summer Tours

The Centre for High-Throughput Phenogenomics (CHTP) staff are offering facility tours along with equipment demos for interested researchers this summer. These tours are a great opportunity for new graduate students and summer students planning to pursue graduate studies to familiarize themselves with the Centre’s equipment and capabilities. Sign up in advance through our online survey. New tour dates will be added periodically over the summer. The survey can also be accessed through our website.

Personal Electronics Policy

The CHTP has a new policy document on the usage of personal electronic devices while working in the lab. All users are encouraged to read the policy in its entirety. A summary of permissible electronics and their usages is provided below.

Price Changes

In light of recent increases in operating and consumable costs, the CHTP will be increasing its prices effective September 1, 2025. The prices may be found on our website.

Guest Access

As a reminder, CHTP policy requires that all personnel in the lab be registered users, whether they’re operating equipment or just observing. We recognize that there may occasionally be a need to bring a guest to the lab for a single analysis session only. In such cases, the lab can accommodate this provided that a guest request form is completed in advance. This form is intended for visitors who will only be observing one session. Guests are not permitted to operate or handle any equipment. The guest form is offered as a courtesy for one-time visits only. The guest request form is available on our website or via the link provided below.

If a user needs to bring the same guest on more than one occasion, the guest must sign up to become a user at the CHTP. Users of the CHTP receive access to the online calendar, shared data drive and card access to the facility; users do not need additional equipment training. Guests who do not have a completed guest form submitted 24 hours prior to the session, or who are repeat visitors without registration, may be turned away. Request guest access
