Province launches virtual access to addiction medicine

Addiction medicine treatment options in the province are expanding with the introduction of the virtual access to addiction medicine (VAAM) program in three Saskatchewan communities, along with all detox and treatment centres across the province.

Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation - grant deadline is February 15

Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation promotes excellence in maternal and pediatric health care across Saskatchewan, disbursing $4.5 million in funding last year.

To do so, we grant patient care requests that have potential for an enhancement of care based on scientific excellence and relevance to children’s and maternal health.

We encourage you to look at our guidelines and our website for more information.

Grant requests are accepted until February 15, 2026.

Changes to EasyNet Work request page

The link for submitting work requests for building services, clinical engineering and housekeeping has been moved to the SHA Intranet. On February 3, 2026 all links associated with EasyNet Request on the legacy intranet sites will be decommissioned.

Medication Safety Team - January 2026 newsletter

The SHA Medication Safety Team is excited to connect with you in providing essential medication safety information through our bi-monthly newsletters. Our mission is to equip and empower individuals with the knowledge and tools to manage medications safely while fostering a culture of safety. The newsletters will cover updates on clinical and patient safety guidelines, raise awareness of medication risks, address safety challenges, and promote Just Culture.

Our team consists of experts from various healthcare fields and experiences to engage in medication safety efforts. We are authoritative resources on organizational medication safety-related evidence, information, and knowledge. We’re here to help and support you in your journey toward safe and effective medication management.

MyConnection search feature and homepage refresh - paused

Recently we announced an upgrade coming to MyConnection search and homepage refresh happening on January 29. The release of these features is currently paused while additional readiness and validation activities are completed.

At this time, no action on your part is required. The existing MyConnection search functionality remains available and unchanged. We will share a follow-up update once the new search feature is ready to launch.

Enteral Feeding – clinical procedure revisions

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback and suggestions to support improvements to the enteral feeding clinical procedures. Based on this input, revisions have now been completed for the following clinical procedures, effective January 22, 2026:

If you are involved in enteral feeding, please review the revised procedures relevant to your care area to ensure your practice reflects the updated guidance.
