Welcome cocktail hosted by Polytechnique Montréal and your student association (AÉCSP)
(For Master's, Specialized Graduate Diploma (DESS), Doctorate (Ph.D.) and Double Degree)

In addition to attending presentations, you'll have the opportunity to interact with students, professors and staff members from your department during a cocktail reception.

Registration is required.

Cours

Once you have confirmed your registration and completed your study plan, you must make your course selection for the Fall 2023 semester in your student file, in accordance with your study plan.

The deadline for course selection is September 12,2023.

COURSES START ON MONDAY, AUGUST 28, 2023

 

All students have an email account with the following format: firstname.lastname@polymtl.ca. This address will only be activated within 48 hours of registering for your first trimester of studies at Polytechnique. Access your account at www.imp.polymtl.ca. You can also redirect your email address to a different email account of your choice via your student file online.

AÉCSP

The Association Étudiante aux Cycles Supérieurs de Polytechnique (AÉCSP) represents all graduate students at Polytechnique Montréal. Through its motto Gather, represent, give back, achieve, the AÉCSP clearly expresses its intentions: to create a cohesive student community, with common interests and shared experiences.

OPUS

The OPUS card allows you to use public transportation in the city - the Société de transport de Montréal (STM). If you are a full-time student (or considered a full-time student), you can pay reduced fares by purchasing a student OPUS card (photo required).

If you meet eligibility criteria, you can apply online from your student file or directly in the STM photo studio, located at 1755 Berri Street, Montreal. The latter will be processing student requests by appointment only

Entry to Canada
It is mandatory to have all the necessary authorizations to study before considering coming to Canada. To find out what you need to do to come to Canada, consult:

We remind you that the authorized deadline to enter Canada, and begin your Fall 2023 term, is September 12, 2023.


Reminder to register for Accueil Plus
We recommend that you register for the Accueil Plus (Welcome Plus) program. This will allow you to have a simplified route to the Canada Border Services Agency office and to benefit from a welcome at their rception booth.

Administrative procedures
Between now and September 12, you will need to provide certain immigration documents to the Registrar's Office in order to maintain your registration for the Fall term. Some of you will also have to make arrangements for health and hospitalization insurance.

Issuance of social number (NAS)

Service Canada will be at Polytechnique Montréal to issue social insurance numbers to international students. Please have your original study permit or work permit with valid foreign passport on hand.
