Conflict in Ukraine:
Safe ways you can support the relief effort

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been distressing to watch for many of us at CFIB and in the small business community. As one of 1.3 million Canadians with Ukrainian heritage, I stand with the people of Ukraine as they face this unprovoked attack.

We’ve heard from business owners who want to know how they can lend support to people affected by the conflict. A short list of trustworthy initiatives, including by our partners Scotiabank and TELUS, is included below. Please also take a quick survey that will allow us to share small business sentiment and spotlight smaller initiatives that deserve more attention.

We are also hearing reports of credit card scams tied to fraudulent fund-raising initiatives, as well as vandalism targeting some businesses in relation to the conflict. Please remember that you have access to CFIB’s Helpline. Contact 1-833-568-2342 if you have any questions or concerns we can help with.
