This week’s educator resources, Building Belonging, offer content to help build inclusive, affirming environments for 2SLGBTQIA+ students and support educators in cultivating understanding and allyship. These resources also provide guidance on Indigenous health and well-being, with a focus on Two-Spirit identities and culturally responsive practices. In particular, these materials can support meaningful conversations around Transgender Day of Visibility (March 31).

Educator Resources:

1. Provided by School Mental Health Ontario, Caring Adults: Supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ Students provides content on how to build relationships and spaces that affirm the identities of 2SLGBTQIA+ students.

2. Curated by the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario, 2SLGBTQ+ Resources can be used as a reference to find resources and websites that help support 2SLGBTQ+ education and students.

3. Curated by Red River College Polytech Library, Indigenous Health & Well-Being is a comprehensive guide offering resources, reports, publications, and educational materials focused on Indigenous health and well-being, with particular attention to Two-Spirit identities, culture, health disparities, and community resilience.
