Learn More | | | Update Regarding the Blue Mountains Attainable Housing Corporation The Town would like to provide an update regarding the Blue Mountains Attainable Housing Corporation (BMAHC). On Monday, October 30, 2023, a staff report was presented to Council providing two options regarding how best to proceed with the current operating loan that the Town holds with the BMAHC. Council passed a motion to direct staff to complete all required processes to formally release the BMAHC and its Board of Directors of its responsibilities to repay the current operating loan, with the loan agreement terminating as of October 30, 2023. Council also will provide formal written notice of intent to continue the BMAHC under a modified mandate, as recommended by the municipal member of The Blue Mountains, and request that this notice be included on The BMAHC’s 2023 Annual General Meeting Agenda. There are two types of workshops: large-format sessions, which include a presentation, Q&A and breakout table sessions, and informal drop-in sessions, which will provide a more informal opportunity for residents to attend and discuss all Official Plan topics with Town staff and project consultants. More than 760 responses were received during the survey period. Results will be compiled and presented to Town Council for their consideration and direction at an upcoming meeting. Learn More | | | TWWTP Expansion The Town's contractors have been working on building and installing the formwork and rebar for the walls of the new Activated Sludge building and aeration tank. Work will continue over the coming weeks to prepare for the next round of concrete pours, which will include the walls for the aeration tank and lower walls for the Activated Sludge building. Learn More | | | Upcoming Public Meeting A Public Meeting will be held on November 21, 2023 at 9:30am to consider an Application for Permanent Easements as part of the 150 and 160 King Street East project.
