Three graduate students earn top spots in UBC 3MT competition

Graduate Diploma in Pharmacy Leadership

At UBC, research goes beyond the lab and library and is making a real world impact. The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition showcases student research at UBC and challenges graduate students to present their work in just three minutes! Building essential communication skills and connecting with researchers across disciplines while they showcase their work

This year’s winners tackled real-world challenges: Mona Behrouzian (Biomedical Engineering) is improving injury risk assessment for young athletes, Vienna Cheng (Pharmaceutical Sciences) is researching the effects of arthritis medications in pregnancy, and Jonas Welsch (Electrical and Computer Engineering) is developing sensor technology for green aviation.

International Transgender Day of Visibility 

Graduate Diploma in Pharmacy Leadership

March 31 was International Transgender Day of Visibility, an intentional opportunity to celebrate and recognize the valuable contributions of trans community members – and reflect on how we can all contribute to trans inclusion.

Several events were held at UBC Vancouver including the raising of the transgender flag and lighting of the Ladner Clock Tower. Our events page also has some useful links for transger individuals and those who want to be an ally to transgender people
