The objective of this document is to help practitioners design and carry out a climate change assessment for flood hazard mapping and to highlight work that has been performed by flood mapping practitioners across the country to incorporate climate change into flood hazard studies. Natural Resources Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and Public Safety Canada continue to work in partnership to increase the resiliency of Canadian communities to floods through mitigation measures such as flood mapping, which is a key tool for understanding flood risk.
