BCIT alum Justin Perry mitigates BC wildfires using drone technology

What started out as a passion for both aviation and forestry ended up leading BCIT alumnus Justin Perry to his dream job as a Chief Drone Pilot. By using infrared sensing technology with dones, he played an integral role in detecting wildfires last summer. BCIT Student Awards Celebration honours high-achieving students 

In recognition of their academic achievement, outstanding leadership, and positive contributions to the community, in late 2021, over 600 students received awards including graduating achievement awards, in-term achievement awards, entrance awards, and scholarships.
