November 10, 2023

Remembrance Day is November 11. Lest we forget.

The Squamish community is invited to join the Squamish Legion for a collective moment of silence to remember those who served. People are welcome to pay their respects in person around the outer perimeter of the Cenotaph, or at other times throughout the day to place a poppy or to take time to reflect and remember.

Two minutes of silence will be observed at 11 a.m.

When: Saturday, November 11, 10:45 a.m.
Where: Stan Clarke Park Cenotaph.

*Please note Cleveland Avenue will be closed between Stan Clarke Park and Main Street from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. to accommodate the ceremony. A traffic management plan is in place.

Please note Municipal Hall will be closed on Monday, November 13.

You must empty containers and give them a quick rinse before adding them to your recycling tote. This helps minimize contamination from food residue spoiling the recyclability of materials and also reduces pests and smells.
