Community Engagement Opportunities

There are a number of current opportunities for you to let us know your thoughts and opinons on a number of network priorities.

Accessibility through Legislation

This short 10-minute survey will assist the province of British Columbia and the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction in developing accessibility legislation that would empower persons with disabilities, government, and the broader community to work together to identify, remove and prevent barriers

Electric Vehicles and E-Bike Survey

We are working with Comox Valley Nurses for Health & Environment to learn more about the use of Electrice Vehicles and Bikes in the Comox Valley. Please fill this survey out if you have an electrice bike or vehicle, or if you'd like to have one in the future.

Seniors Housing Needs Assessment Survey

Our network in partnership with the Coalition to End Homelessness and Glacier View Lodge is working with Masters in Community Planning Students from Vancouver Island University to develop the land at Glacier View for affordable housing. The first phase will be seniors housing, if you are over the age of 55 please fill out this survey to let us know your future housing needs. This information will help inform this project! FREE Mental Health Workshop for Youth

Check in - with Kate Fish + Taryn Goodwin

“Feeling like it’s time to have a little check-in with yourself? Join Taryn Goodwin (mental health activist) and Kate Fish (social worker) with Youth 20/20 Can for an evening of reflection, examining what’s in your self-care toolkit, learning about boundaries, and identifying ways for you to rest and recharge.

You will leave the workshop with new skills and resources to support your wellness, so you can keep doing your thing!

24 Hours of Reality: Climate Truth in Action

Local Climate Reality Leader, Will Cole-Hamilton will lead a presentations and community conversation on Wednesday, November 20 from 7-9 pm at the Comox United Church Hall (250 Beach Drive).

The event will focus on the climate crisis, what it means for us in our everyday lives, and the solutions already in our hands. Hosted by the Comox Valley Unitarian Fellowship Justice Team
