Deadline to apply for subsidy: Jan. 25, 2022

The Canada Summer Jobs program (CSJ) provides wage subsidies to employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees. Its goal is to help you create quality summer work experiences for young people age 15 to 30.

For 2022, the program goes back to the regular rules. Jobs need to be full-time with a minimum of 30 hours/week and last at least 6 weeks. The subsidy is up to 50% of your provincial minimum wage. The government plans to subsidize 100,000 jobs for young workers in 2022 so don’t hesitate to submit your application.
