Coquitlam’s Streamlined Official Community Plan
Learn More and Share your Feedback

The Official Community Plan (OCP) has been streamlined to be clearer and easier to use - and our online survey has now launched, seeking your feedback on the draft document before it closes on December 3. You can also learn more at our upcoming info sessions until November 20, with the first two taking place November 6 (tonight) and 8.

This interim document does not introduce any new policies or identify any new areas for growth. A more comprehensive review and update of the OCP is anticipated to begin in 2027.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
