Birdfeeder Crafternoon (Ages 7+)

Combine hands-on crafting with nature education. Participants learn about Delta's local birds and why it is important to feed birds during cold winter months. We will build and decorate bird feeders to take home along with a handout about common species the feeders might attract.

Mindfulness in the Museum

Join us for a guided mindfulness and movement session inspired by the stories and artifacts of the museum. Using archival photographs and objects as gentle points of focus, we’ll explore calm attention, relaxed movement, grounding, and presence. This program offers a quiet space to move gently, breathe, and connect with Delta’s history in a reflective, meaningful way. All levels of experience are welcome.

Weaving animation and live action, Northlore explores the mystical stories and connections forged between the people and wildlife in the North of Canada. With each new story, the film celebrates the transformative power of the human spirit when confronted with the wilderness.

Happiness Exhibition

The Happiness exhibit is now open! The top 10 submissions from the Culture Days Community Art Contest are currently on display at the Douglas J. Husband Discovery Centre from November 17, 2025, through April 26, 2026. The exhibit will travel to the Tsawwassen Arts Centre in May 2026 before its final display at the North Delta Centre for the Arts in September 2026.

We have recently conducted a number of interesting oral history interviews over the last couple months that we encourage you to check out on our Archives database. These include an interview with Dave Manzer about the history his father-in-law Dr. Alvin Bastedo, an interview with volunteers of the Kirkland House Foundation, an interview with Peg Christopherson-Keenleyside about Delta Stageworks, and an interview with Garth Cuthbert about his involvement with the Delta Museum and Archives Society and Deltassist.
