Development Procedures and Delegation Bylaw No. 2025-19

The City has adopted a new Development Procedures and Delegation Bylaw.  Key updates include:

Expanded Minor Variance Delegation

Minor Variance DVPs now include landscaping and screening, projections and small car spaces.

Lapsed Applications 

Inactive Planning applications will now be closed after 3 months.  A 6 month extension can be requested before the application lapses.

Landscape Security

Securities are now required to be paid prior to development permit issuance.

Landscape Inspections

Due to weather conditions, landscape inspections will not be conducted between November 1st and April 1st of each year.  When the works are completed, please submit a completed Landscape Inspection & Refund Request form to the Planning Department.

Changes aim to streamline the development approvals process, improve clarity, and ensure procedures remain organized and effective.
