FNLMAQL News

RLEMP Summit

The FNLMAQL, in collaboration with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), will host a Reserve Land and Environment Management Program (RLEMP) Summit on February 10 and 11, 2026, at the Hilton Québec in Quebec City.

This event, designed for all communities currently participating in RLEMP, those exploring joining the program, and those interested in supporting or training a certified lands manager, will aim to:

Define lands managers’ roles and responsibilities within RLEMP.

Provide an opportunity to connect with the ISC Quebec regional team. Create space for open discussion and feedback on the type of support communities need and how our association can best respond.

Present the Professional Lands Management Certification Program (PLMCP), the funding available for the 2026-27 intake, offer an overview of its objectives and expectations, course schedule, instructors, and more.

We look forward to connecting with communities and partners next month and strengthening our collaboration through RLEMP.

If you have any questions about RLEMP or the PLMCP, please contact training@fnlmaql.ca.
